11th Grade English Teacher [Remote]

This position is for AdvitCare Learning Center

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 11th Grade English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of middle school curriculum and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging live and asynchronous lessons on the fundamentals of English language arts, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and literary analysis.

• Design and implement digital lesson plans that align with state and school standards, utilizing a variety of online tools and platforms to cater to different learning styles.

• Foster a positive and inclusive online classroom where all students feel respected, supported, and motivated to learn.

• Assess student progress through digital assignments, online quizzes, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Collaborate virtually with fellow teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary lessons and contribute to the overall school community.

• Communicate effectively with parents via email, video calls, or our online portal to discuss student performance and progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.

• Valid teaching certification for middle school English (or in the process of obtaining one).

• Prior experience teaching in a remote or virtual setting is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technology.

• Strong knowledge of adolescent literacy development and pedagogical best practices for online instruction.

• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Starting Salary

• $33 USD per hour (after tax)
